September is Hunger Action Month and the Orange Police Department is raising awareness by hosting the “Spread the Love” food drive.
Donations of peanut butter and jelly in plastic containers may be dropped off at the Orange Police Department, located at 201 N. 8th Street in downtown Orange. All items will be donated to the Southeast Texas Food Bank.
One in every four children in the United States is fed by the Federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). The Southeast Texas Food Bank can assist residents of Jefferson, Orange, Hardin, Jasper, Newton, Sabine, Tyler, and Polk counties with applications.
