Starbucks Opens Today in Orange

Starbucks has opened in Orange. The Orange location will be open for drive-thru and grab & go service Monday through Sunday from 5 A.M. to 9 P.M.

To facilitate traffic in Starbucks Drive-Thru and Grab & Go, please see the following directions in an effort to ensure safe traffic flow: Driving south on Hwy 87/16th Street from the Northway Shopping Center area, turn left on the Interstate 10 Frontage Road, and right on 15th Street to enter Starbucks.

Driving north on 16th Street, turn right at the Starbucks entrance.

Leaving Starbucks, customers should exit at 15th Street and turn right, then turn right on Church Street, which will lead to 16th Street

Peggy's on the Bayou Hosting Fundraiser for Toys for Tots

Peggy and Richard Albair, owners of Peggy’s on the Bayou in Orange are hosting a fundraiser the Toys for Tots U.S. Marine Corp Southeast Texas program.  They are asking for help and support to sell tickets to raise money for children in Southeast Texas for the holidays. They are selling raffle tickets at 3 for $10 to raffle off a $250, $500, and $1000 gift card. The drawing will be held on November 14.

Last year they raised over $7000.00 and hope to meet or exceed the goal this year.

40 Under 40 Nominations Open

The Southeast Texas Young Professionals Organization, Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce and Beaumont Enterprise will honor the best and brightest young professionals under the age of 40 for their academic achievements, professional success and community involvement with the 40 Under 40 recognition.

Young professionals are a vital asset to our region. It is very important to recognize and acknowledge those who are making great strides in shaping our community’s future. The emphasis is on leadership, whether it’s in law, real estate, non-profits, education, healthcare, arts, or other industries. Let’s not forget about our entrepreneurs! Focus is also placed on the nominee’s community involvement.

Think of your friends, family, colleagues, clients — anyone who matches the criteria — and nominate as many as you like. Nomination forms must be submitted by someone other than the nominee.

To be eligible, the nominees work must be based out of Jefferson, Orange, or Hardin County. Also, recipients must be 39 years old or younger. All applicants must have at least one reference in addition to the individual nominating the candidate. Application deadline is August 7, 2020.
