Brookshire Brothers has announced the upcoming closure of its Vidor location. The grocery store, fueling station, and Tobacco Barn will cease operations on August 24, 2024, while the pharmacy will close a day earlier on August 23.
In a statement, Brookshire Brothers President and CEO John Alston expressed gratitude to the store’s patrons and staff. “Brookshire Brothers wants to extend our deepest appreciation to our loyal customers and dedicated staff who have supported us throughout the years,” said Alston. “We hope to continue those relationships in our surrounding southeast Texas stores.”
The company has arranged for all prescription files to be transferred to the Brookshire Brothers Pharmacy in Lumberton, Texas, located at 421 S. Main St. Customers needing to refill or transfer medications after August 23 are advised to contact the Lumberton pharmacy at 409-227-2004.
Alston also addressed the future of the Vidor employees, emphasizing the company’s commitment to their well-being. “We are assisting our employee-owners during this transition,” he said. “We are incredibly grateful for their hard work and dedication; they have all been offered positions within the company.”
