The City of Orange Office of Emergency Management is closely monitoring Tropical Depression Imelda. According to the National Weather Service – Lake Charles, our region could see an additional 4 to 10 inches of rain through Thursday and is at risk for flash flooding. Be alert for flooded roads during periods of heavy rain, especially at night.
As a precaution, Orange County will have sandbags available at the following locations:
- Precinct 1: Maintenance barn located on North Hwy 87 at North Teal
- Precinct 2: 11897 State Hwy 62 in Mauriceville directly across from Market Basket on Hwy 62
- Precinct 3: County Maintenance barn located on 2502 West Roundbunch Road
- Precinct 4: County Maintenance barn located on 375 Claiborne Street
