Learn the techniques of making wheel-thrown clay vessels with Stark Museum of Art Teaching Artist Karen Leonard this August! This workshop is a series of three classes.
The first class begins Wednesday, August 3 from 1:30-4 PM and runs through August 17.
The second class begins Thursday, August 4 from 6-8:30 PM and runs through August 18.
The class size is limited to six adults to ensure one-on-one instruction time. Participants must be 18 years of age or older. The $100 materials and registration fee will include all supplies needed. All artwork will be fired in our on-site kiln at the conclusion of the workshop.
- Classes begin promptly at their designated start time. Please arrive on time.
- Aprons will be provided, but participants are encouraged to dress for the art studio.
- The museum’s studio can be cool, so we encourage you to consider bringing a sweater or jacket.
- A firing schedule for finished clay pots and pick-up times will be announced during the final class.
