OFD Awarded $100,000 Grant
The Orange Fire Department (OFD) was awarded a Fire Act Grant in the amount of $100,000 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). This grant award will be used to replace 15 Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) units and purchase 30 SCBA cylinders for the Orange Fire Department.

Lamar State College Orange announced Monday that its Fall 2020 to Fall 2021 comparison of academic enrollment numbers remained essentially flat, despite a pandemic and economic downturn, and its workforce (non-credit) enrollment saw an enormous increase of 483% over the same period.
