Texas Governor Greg Abbott says all retail stores, restaurants, movie theaters, and malls can open Friday, May 1 *BUT* with only 25% occupancy. If all goes well, that will be increased to 50% occupancy on May 18 (when phase 2 begins).
Barbershops, hair salons, bars, clubs, and gyms are NOT approved to open at this time. Governor is hoping that will happen in mid-May.
Vulnerable populations are still encouraged to continue self-isolation.
Museums and libraries can open May 1 but NO hands-on exhibits.
Outdoor sports activities can resume but with only four people at one time. That could be expanded during phase two.
Churches can begin slowly expanding services but continue practicing social distancing.
The stay-at-home order will expire on April 30.
