Keep Orange Beautiful Holding Tire and Scrap Metal Collection

Keep Orange County Beautiful (KOCB,) is working with the city of Vidor, Superior Tire and Service of Orange, and D&D Scrap of Bridge City to collect abandoned tires and scrap metal on Saturday, July 27, at no charge.

The event is being held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Vidor Public Works, 155 North. Watt, behind the Vidor Police Department.  Residents are encouraged to bring abandoned tires (limit eight per resident) and scrap metal for recycling.

Pinehurst Police Department Seeking Help with Burglary at Triple L Powersports

According to KFDM News and Crimestoppers, the Pinehurst Police Department is seeking the public’s help with a burglary that occurred at Triple L Powersports, which is located at 1800 Strickland Drive in Pinehurst. Unknown persons entered the business between  3 PM Monday and 8 AM Tuesday and removed 2-2019 Honda CRF110 dirt bikes, 1-2019 Honda CRF125 dirt bike, and 2-2018 Honda generators.generators. The total value of the stolen items is $14,726.

Anyone with information about this burglary is asked to call the Pinehurst Police Department at 409-886-2221 or Crimestoppers at 409-833-8477 (TIPS) You will not be asked your name and you may be eligible for a cash reward.

Coloring for Adults Offered at Orange Public Library

Coloring for Adults  is being offered free of charge at the Orange Public Library to anyone ages 17 and up who would like to attend.

The library requests that no children be in the coloring room; however, kids over the age of 12 are welcome to enjoy the Library while adults color their cares away.

Coloring sheets and colored pencils/pens will be provided for use, but feel free to bring your own. Please bring a  brown bag lunch. The Library will have water, coffee, and cookies.
