Community Food Drive Planned for May 15
Orange County United Way is coordinating a community food drive on Friday, May 15, 2020, from 10 am – 2 pm. Non-perishable food items may be dropped off at The Salvation Army, 1950 MLK Drive in Orange, or at United Christian Care of Vidor, 293 Wilson St., Vidor.
The food drive will help stock the following food pantries:
- Bridge City/Orangefield Ministerial Alliance
- Mission Office, First Baptist Church, Orange
- Orange Christian Services
- The Salvation Army of Orange
- United Christian Care Center of Vidor

Britt Godwin Appearing April 30 in Virtual Acoustic Series
Orange Convention & Visitors Bureau is hosting its second performance of the Virtual Acoustic series. Britt Godwin will be playing tonight, April 30, 2020, at 7:00 P.M. You can enjoy this virtual event from the comfort of your home by tuning it to the OCVB’s Facebook page at 7 PM. Godwin is the very best in classic country music –“The REAL Deal.”
The event will stream live and will stay on their Facebook page and can be viewed at any time under the “videos” tab.

North Orange County Farmer’s Market Opens May 7
The North Orange County Farmer’s Market will reopen on Thursday, May 7, 2020, at 5:00 PM under the Community Center Pavilion at the festival grounds at 7441 Cohenour Rd. Orange, TX 77632. We would love to see you come out and support our local farmers and artisans.
Stay tuned for info on which vendors will be in attendance and what items they will have available.
The following guidelines will be in place:
1.) If you are feeling ill, coughing or sneezing please do not attend the market
2.). There will be no early browsing. Patrons can not enter until 5:00 PM.
3.) Please practice appropriate social distancing (6 ft. of space is recommended) when shopping or standing in line.
4.) Customers cannot handle food. There will be no self-serve of any kind.
5.) As much as we hate this, please don’t linger. Come in, buy your items, and leave. We will be over this soon and able to fellowship at the market as usual.
