Lions Club Bringing Orange-Opoly Back to Orange

The Orange Lions Club is creating an updated edition of Orange-Opoly game and is seeking businesses to participate. This game is based on the game of Monopoly. This is a fundraiser for the Lions Club, so all the funds will go back into the Orange community.

They have several “real estate” levels available. They will be printing an initial run of 500 games, set to arrive in Fall 2020. Each business, excluding the category “Sponsor Ads” will receive one board game for free. According to the Lions Club, the 4 corners and Boardwalk have been sold.

The sale price to purchase the game once it is printed has not yet been set and depends on the number of ads sold.

Board spaces are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Business logos will appear on the specific level purchased, with the exception of “Sponsor Ads.”

The order form is listed below and must be received by April 30. 2020.

Orange Texas RV Resort Opens for Business

The Greater Orange Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for new member Orange Texas RV Resort at 18017 Hwy 62 on January 21, 2020. Scott and Yen Tran bought this park in June 2015 and have made it a great family-friendly environment for tenants. The park is managed by Laura Kimball. The resort includes 196 spaces that are now all rented out at capacity. 62 of them are new concrete spaces, a 24-hour laundry facility on-site for tenants and a playground.

The Tran family provides several holiday meals for tenants at the office in the park, so that they have a place to go for special events. An Easter meal, egg hunt for children, Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner is served as well. At the end of the summer, they host a summer pool party for children going back to school.

Plans for future improvements at the park include a Party/Conference Room and a workout room. For more information about the park or to book a space call: 409-883-3400 or visit the website at http://orangetexasrvresort.com.
