The Bridge City High School Band ranked 4th place in the Texas Music Educators Association 4A Honor Band state finals last week in San Antonio.
Being named the state honor band is the most prestigious award a high school band can receive, and the winner of each class is honored to perform the following year at the TMEA Convention in San Antonio.
The selection of an honor band in each classification helps to recognize communities and school systems that successfully support music in education through instrumental music programs.
