With the influx of high-paying trade jobs on the upper Texas coast, Lamar State College Orange (LCSO) is seeing unprecedented growth in its technical training programs. With the rapid growth comes a need for industry-relevant hands-on learning opportunities. By providing equipment for students to work on, industry partners can help bridge the current generational skills gap while ensuring that the training is specific to the equipment our students will encounter on the job site once they are hired.
LSCO would like to thank WestRock for donating rotating equipment to the Electromechanical Technology program. Their contribution will enrich the learning experience for LSCO students, several of whom will likely work for the company.
