Vidor Friendly Music Jam Scheduled for September 2

The City of Vidor will hold its first Vidor Music Friendly Jam on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Conn Park, 19161 I-10 in Vidor. The gates will open at 10:00 a.m.

In 2016, the Texas Music Office (TMO) created the only Music Friendly Community Program in the US, now known as Music Friendly Texas, and since then, the TMO’s Music Friendly Texas program has grown into a fully operational network of over 40 Certified Communities across the state.

As the only standalone State Music Office in the US, the TMO is proud to be the gold standard for all US states and cities wishing to emulate our unique office and programming. Texas is leading the way in working to support the commercial music ecosystem, and we welcome all new partners who are interested in following the TMO’s example. In 2021, the City of Vidor joined more than 20 other Texas cities that received the official Music Friendly Community designation.

The schedule of events includes:
11:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m.- Musical Talent Registration
12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. – Music Talent Competition
5:00 p.m. – Walk of Fame Awards
7:00 p.m. – Talent Show Winner Opening Act
8:30 p.m.- 10:00 p.m. – Headliner – Donice Morace

The event will also include a beer garden, a kids’ zone, shop vendors, and food trucks.

There is a $5 entry fee. Children 12 and under are free.
