During the regular meeting of the West Orange-Cove CISD Board of Trustees on Monday, May 19, 2025, the board held its annual leadership restructuring and proudly announced the election of LaTricia Ann “Tricia” Stroud as Board President.
Stroud, a 1996 graduate of West Orange-Stark High School and a dedicated trustee since 2018, brings a wealth of experience and a deep-rooted commitment to the district. She has earned Master Trustee status through the prestigious Leadership TASB (LTASB) program and has represented WOCCISD as a delegate and alternate during key legislative sessions.
A lifelong Mustang, Stroud’s connection to the district runs deep. She is married to fellow Mustang alumnus Chad Stroud (Class of 1993) and is the proud mother of two daughters—Kaylyn Elizabeth Roberts (Class of 2015) and London Stroud (Class of 2025).
“Service has been intertwined in every aspect of my life,” said Stroud. “I joined the board to give back to the district that molded me into the woman I am today. Every challenge is an opportunity to grow and discover a solution. I’m honored to serve as Board President and look forward to supporting the incredible work across our district.”
Stroud’s commitment to the West Orange community extends beyond the school board. She currently serves on the boards of United Way of Orange County, the Service League of Orange, and is the Chair of the Lutcher Theater Board of Directors. She is also concluding her term as President of the WOCCISD Education Foundation.
In addition to Stroud’s election, the board selected Mr. Roderick Robertson as Vice-President and Mr. Demetrius Hunter as Secretary. Together, this leadership team represents a renewed commitment to the district’s values of progress, purpose, and pride.
WOCCISD looks forward to a new chapter of strong, community-focused leadership under the guidance of its newly appointed board officers.
