Texas Sales Tax Holiday for Emergency Supplies Set for April 26-28

The Atlantic Hurricane Season begins on June 1st, and in preparation, the Texas Comptroller’s Office will have the annual Sales Tax Holiday for Emergency Supplies. It will begin at 12:01 am on Saturday, April 26, 2025, and will end at 11:59 pm on Monday, April 28, 2025.

Some of the most commonly purchased qualifying items are:

  • Household batteries, fuel containers, and flashlights priced less than $75.00
  • Hurricane shutters and emergency ladders priced at less than $300.00
  • Portable generators priced less than $3,000.00
