Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, in partnership with the Orange County Livestock Association, is proud to invite all youth of Orange County to participate in the upcoming Youth Project Contest, a celebration of local talent and creativity.
The event will be held at the Mauriceville Heritage Center (7441 Cohenour Rd., Mauriceville)—home of the Crawfish Festival Grounds. Project entries will be accepted on Friday, October 10, 2025, between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
Entry is free, and participants may submit projects in the following categories:
- Baked Goods (non-refrigerated items only)
- Arts & Crafts
- Woodworking
- Photography
- Floral Arrangements
Youth will compete in three age divisions:
- Junior: Grades 3–5
- Intermediate: Grades 6–8
- Senior: Grades 9–12
The Grand Champion winner in each age division will be featured in a Live Auction on Saturday, October 11th, while all other entries may opt to participate in the Silent Auction.
“This contest is a great way to showcase the talent and hard work of Orange County’s youth,” said representatives from the AgriLife Extension office. “We encourage all students to get involved and show our community what they’re capable of.”
