“Intro to Wood Carving,” will be offered as an adult workshop at the Stark Museum of Art in Orange.

The three-night workshop will be conducted by Richard Spinney, a local artist who has been woodcarving for four decades.

The workshop will be on Aug. 6, 13 and 20. Cost is $35, which covers the wood and safety materials. There’s also a $70 tool fee that will provide novice carvers with a high-quality carving blade and three gouges that will be theirs to keep after the workshop.
