At 12:30 pm Monday the National Weather Service released information about a disturbance in the Gulf. The Hurricane Center has a high 80 percent chance for tropical development in the northern Gulf of Mexico.

Are you ready for hurricane season?  Hurricane seasons runs from June 1 – November 31. With the larger number of hurricanes that have impacted Southeast Texas since Hurricane Rita in 2005, it pays to be prepared.
