Ribbon Cutting Held for High Tides Restaurant in Bridge City

The Greater Orange Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Grand Opening of High Tides at 3109 Texas Ave on March 10, 2020.

Owners Wesley and Ronda Dishon with partners Jamey and Sherri Deloney are happy to announce the opening of their new family-friendly waterfront restaurant and bar. High Tides features seafood, boiled crawfish, kids meals, full bar, 22 boat slips, jet docks, live music, and yard games. Coming soon to High Tides: waterfront non-ethanol fuel station, beach volleyball, private boat tours, and catering. The environment includes tables in outdoor eating areas upstairs and downstairs, and indoor tables upstairs- with elevator on site.

Business hours: Tuesday-Thursday 11 am-9 pm, Friday and Saturday 11 am-11 pm, Sundays 11 am-9 pm, and closed on Mondays.

The Greater Orange Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for new member KPI General Contractors at 1207 Pier Rd in Orange on February 27, 2020.

Owners Bill and Jenny Stark have worked in the Orange area for over 14 years, starting with real estate and now having a company that takes on residential, commercial, and industrial construction projects. They have been at this location for approximately 2 years working with local businesses, helping to restore their buildings after each of the hurricanes.

Employees include Shelly Carpenter, Tim Holmes, Brian Nelson, and Chad Lachney.

The Greater Orange Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for new member Darling Orange Boutique at 2339 MacArthur Dr in Orange on February 20, 2020.

Kimberly Scott is the new owner of the previous Asher Luis Consignment & Resale Boutique. The store has a new name, a new look, and will feature more boutique items that are new as they continue the consignment portion of the store as well.

Mardi Gras Comes to Orange in 2020

The Greater Orange Area Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the City of Orange Convention and Visitors Bureau, will be hosting the 17th Annual Mardi Gras Weekend – February 14 & 15, 2020.

Opening the Orange Mardi Gras Weekend, the Flashback Friday Parade will be held on Friday, February 14, beginning at 6:30 P.M. Attendees are encouraged to dress in their best 80’s attire. Live entertainment by LA Roxx will immediately follow the Flashback Friday Parade at the Riverfront Pavilion. Applications to participate in the Flashback Friday Parade can be found here.

The 4th Annual Munchkin Parade will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 15.  The Krewe of Krewe’s Grand Parade will begin at 6:00 P.M. Applications to participate in the Munchkins Parade can be found here.

Food and drink vendors will be on-site throughout the weekend festivities. A children’s activity area will be available providing fun for the entire family!  Please note, no dogs or pets will be allowed at the Riverfront Boardwalk and Pavilion. Coolers are welcome.

Orange Chamber of Commerce Creates Interactive Orange Grove Map

Orange Chamber of Commerce Posts Interactive Orange Grove Map

The Greater Orange Area Chamber of Commerce has created an interactive map of their Orange Grove project. The Orange Grove is a new countywide project to promote pride and beautification in Orange County.  This project will feature the distribution of large concrete oranges across the county.

The interactive map can be viewed here.

Concrete orange sculptures will be available for purchase that can be decorated and displayed outside of your business or home. If you are interested in reserving your orange, click here for the order form.

Smaller orange paperweights are also available from the Chamber.
