Create memories and masterpieces in the new year at the Stark Museum of Art’s Family Day event on Saturday, January 27m, 2024, from 10 AM – 2 PM. Families are invited to explore the museum and experience art together through fun activities planned for children of all ages. Admission to the event is free of charge.
Young artists and their grown-ups can utilize their creativity while participating in activities that engage multiple senses and discover connections to the artwork on view throughout the museum. Family Day activities Include:
- Brand new Digital Gallery Scavenger Hunt
- Art-making activities and crafts for the whole family, including a Tot Spot play and art-making area designed for ages five and under
- Local artist Calvin Carter as he sketches art in the gallery
- New special exhibit, “ART: It’s Elementary,” showcasing local elementary students in the Community Art Gallery. Celebrate the artists during the Recognition Ceremony at 2 p.m.
- Photos in the Family Day Photo Spot in the lobby
- Special family-friendly activities led by the Orange Train Depot Museum, Shangri La Gardens, The W.H. Stark House, and more
