Skating Returns to Orange County with Grand Opening of Skating at the ORC

After years without a local rink, roller skating is back in Orange County with the grand opening of Skating at the ORC, part of the growing Ochoa Rec Center (ORC) entertainment complex. The rink officially opened its doors on September 6, 2025, welcoming families, children, and skating enthusiasts to enjoy this long-awaited community venue.

The refurbished facility, once vacant, has been completely revitalized under the vision of developer Jonathan Ochoa. The skating rink is just the beginning of a larger entertainment plan for the ORC, which includes future additions such as a small water park, bowling alley, and miniature golf course.

Skating at the ORC offers open skate sessions, family nights, and private party packages, creating opportunities for both casual fun and special celebrations.

Open Skate Hours:

  • Monday–Friday: 11:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. (11:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. geared toward younger children and homeschoolers)
  • Saturday: 1:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m.
  • Sunday: 1:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m.

Located at 6896 Hwy 87 in Orange, the rink is quickly becoming a new hub for family-friendly entertainment in Southeast Texas.
