Shangri La will host a Kitchen Scrap Gardening Class on March 26, 2122, from 10 AM-noon.
Did you know when you buy fruits and veggies at the store, you’re also taking home free plants?! Don’t let those kitchen scraps go to waste! Re-plant them into your very own Kitchen Scrap Garden. A pineapple top? Some green pepper seeds? Yes, let’s plant them!
Production Greenhouse Manager, Cheryl Farmer, along with the distinguished Production Greenhouse Team will share their knowledge of how different produce scraps can be grown anew. You will discover ways to give your would-be-waste a new life. Participants will have a hands-on planting experience, and take a few plants home too! Containers, soil, plants, and are all included with the workshop fee
There is a $25 materials fee, and only 12 spots are available. Registration begins February 28th @ 9:00 a.m. at this link.
