Shangri La Botanical Gardens and Nature Center is hosting an adult workshop called Let’s Talk Terrariums on Saturday, April 23, 2022, from 10 AM – noon.
Join them for a hands-on experience to discover all about a famous miniature garden, the terrarium. The class will explore the history of this popular indoor garden as they investigate how terrariums were invented, as well as how they evolved into the modern enclosed ecosystem we know and love today.
Production Greenhouse Manager, Cheryl Farmer, along with Lead Horticulturist, Deb Wiles, will share their knowledge of terrariums. Then, taking inspiration from the team, participants will have the opportunity to create their own terrariums to take home. Care instructions will be provided to help each new terrarium thrive. Containers, soil, plants, and supplies are all included with the $25 workshop fee. Space is limited to 12 participants.
