Red Cross Aiding Those Impacted by Tornadoes in Orange County

in Local Roundup

The American Red Cross of Southeast and Deep East Texas Workforce is responding to communities impacted by severe weather and tornadoes across the southeastern part of our state. Our workforce is focused on keeping those impacted and themselves safe by practicing social distancing and working with local government agencies to get people the comfort, care, and assistance they need.

If you have been affected by the tornado and need a place to stay, please go to the Red Cross Reception Center that is located at the Cowboy Church, 673 FM 1078, Orange, TX 77632. The Red Cross will be there until 10 p.m. meeting with those affected to assess their sheltering needs.

This is an ever-evolving situation, especially in the COVID-19 environment, so we remain flexible, but our mission remains the same. Our workforce is dedicated to ensuring that the immediate needs of Texas residents are met and that we are keeping our workforce and community safe and healthy.

We continue to field calls for community assistance and have teams currently out in the field assessing damages. We are working to identify gaps in community supplies, such as water, food, and supplies.

Please go to the American Red Cross Texas Gulf Coast Facebook page for the most recent up-to-date information.
