Orange Public Library Launches 2025 Summer Reading Program: “Color Our World”

The Orange Public Library is excited to announce the return of its beloved Summer Reading Programs, running throughout the summer with this year’s vibrant theme: “Color Our World.” This art-inspired initiative invites readers of all ages to explore the creativity and color that books—and their own imaginations—can bring to life.

From preschoolers to adults, the library has designed weekly programs filled with engaging, art-themed activities to spark curiosity, encourage reading, and foster a sense of community connection.

📚 Program Schedule:

  • Preschool Read-to-Me: Wednesdays | 10:45 a.m. – 11:15 a.m.
  • Elementary (1st–5th Grade): Wednesdays | 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.Readers will participate in a different program each week, featuring art, agriculture, science, and wildlife!

🌳 June 4th: Nature Explorers presented by Shangri La Botanical Gardens and Nature Center

🎨 June 11th: Art in Every Direction presented by Stark Museum of Art

🌀 June 18th: “Take That, Hurricane!” presented by Rebekah Hair

🌈 June 25th: The World of Color presented by Art Museum of Southeast Texas

🔬 July 2nd: Color Lab presented by Beaumont Children’s Museum at Riverside Pavilion

🐊 July 9th: Gator Country Beaumont Texas at Riverside Pavilion

🎪 July 16th: Summer Reading Program Carnival

  • Young Adult – Middle School (6th–8th Grade): Tuesdays | 5:30 p.m. – 6:45 p.m.
  • Young Adult – High School (9th–12th Grade): Thursdays | 5:30 p.m. – 6:45 p.m.
  • Adults: Reading challenges and creative activities offered throughout the summer

📅 Key Dates:

  • Registration opens Tuesday, May 27
  • First programs begin Monday, June 3
