Orange County EDC Initiates Business Retention & Expansion Program

in Government

In an effort to provide more opportunities for local vendors and contractors, the Orange County Economic Development Corporation (OCEDC) is opening a vendor registration portal on its website. Information collected will be used to promote local services and supplies offered by Orange County businesses.

The Business Retention & Expansion (BRE) Program works collaboratively with the local chambers of commerce, municipalities, and other area partners, all focused on providing resources, services, and support to businesses.

Their goal is to learn about the needs and concerns of existing businesses as they relate to conducting business in our community, and work to address those needs and concerns to encourage continued growth. OCEDC aims to foster an Open for Business environment for your business to thrive in our community. When your business succeeds, it helps grow our local economy and strengthens our community to ensure its sustainability well into the future.

The first of these tools is a Business Survey Tool. The BRE survey is a tool utilized by the BRE program to facilitate a variety of functions, including:

  • Create an open dialogue between businesses and local, state, and federal governments;
  • Develop a clearer picture of the number and types of businesses operating in Orange County;
  • Identifying local business workforce needs; and
  • Anticipate and recognize any challenges that are threatening local businesses.

Your input is valuable to us as we develop initiatives related to business expansion and retention. The information collected during these surveys is used solely for economic development purposes.
