Orange Chamber Hosts Ribbon Cutting/Grand Opening for Be Blessed, Orange TX

in Local Roundup

The Greater Orange Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting/grand opening for the non-profit organization Be Blessed Orange, TX, on July 23, 2024. Founder Rita Ballard is helping provide food for families with children in need across Orange County, TX,

It is a huge task to fill in the gap for school districts in Orange County that do not already receive assistance with backpack programs. They are all about seeing the need and meeting it without hesitation. Their goal for this year is to bless 300 children from elementary through high school. It costs $175 to feed each elementary-aged kid and $185 to feed middle- and high-school-aged kids throughout the school year.

The organization is the beneficiary of a fund-raiser, Summer Nights Finale, on August 10, 2024, from 6:30 PM-9:30 PM at the Mauriceville Community Center, 7441 Cohenour Rd. in Mauriceville (behind the fire station on Hwy 62).

Bring whatever amount you’d like to donate to Be Blessed Orange County. Even a quarter will get you in. Come enjoy the musicianship of the wonderfully talented Paige Price. Taco Mex Fire will be set up to serve you delicious plates! Brew Barn will also have refreshments available
