On November 12, 2024, the Greater Orange Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon-cutting for the new mural painted by Lauren Lee of Lauren Lee’s Murals. The mural is located on an outer wall of the country club at 2900 W. Sunset Dr. in Orange.
PGA Professional Kerry Lamb, members of the Orange County Historical Society, and Commissioner Johnny Trahan and his wife were among the notables in attendance.
The ribbon-cutting celebrated 100 years of gold at the Sunset Grove Country Club.
The mural was made possible through funding from Orange County, the City of Orange Adopt-a-Spot program, the Orange County Historical Society, and Trey and Ross Smith. The mural beautifully captures the spirit of Sunset Grove’s century-long tradition, blending vibrant colors and meaningful imagery that tells a story of golf in our community.
