On Tuesday, December 12, 2023, the Greater Orange Area Chamber of Commerce held its annual banquet.
Jessica Hill was introduced as the new chairman, and she introduced her new executive cabinet including Chairman-Elect Stacey Brister, Zach Johnson, Wade Smith, Megan Layne, Paul Dickerson, Dr. Shaun McAlpin, Joe Love, and outgoing Chairman Steve Jones.
Several awards were presented, including:
- Ambassador of the Year: Derek McWilliams- Sabine Federal Credit Union
- Next Generation Orange County Spotlight: Kari Busch-Golden Triangle Emergency Center
- Non- Profit Community Service: OCAA Meals on Wheels
- Business Community Service: Heather Montagne Monkopf- State Farm
- Board Chairman of the Year: Amy Johnson Peevey- Johnson’s Mini Storage
- Citizen of the Year: Stump Weatherford
Laci Gibbens will replace Leigh Anne Harrell as the new Ambassador Chair, and President Ida Schossow and Business Coordinator Ericka Smith were recognized for their work over the last year.
