Hop Avenue Brewing Co. opened on June 3, 2023, in Bridge City at 75 Ferry Dr. in Bridge City. They are the first craft brewery to open in Orange County.
They offer a variety of craft brews, pizza ( with Cauliflower crust), salad, and appetizers.
Bill Mungai and Donny Delatte have been working on the concept for Hop Avenue Brewing Company for a couple of years. Co-Founder & CEO Donny Delatte notes, “I’ve been a craft beer fan most of the best years of my life. I don’t know if the beer I drank had anything to do with that or not. However, the thought of waking up to come to the brewery to make delicious beer and maybe have one or two with my friends at the end of the day sounds awesome.”
Co-Founder & Brewmaster Bill Mungai adds, “I’ve been brewing beer for about 15 years. Professionally for 6 of those years. I love the way it marries art and science. There’s an art to coming up with the recipe and a flavor profile you’re looking after but then it’s hard-core science trying to implement that idea into something into the glass that tastes delicious.”
