The LCM Education Foundation will be hosting its Beary Merry Christmas Market on Saturday, December 4, 2021, from 10 am – 3 pm at LCM High School. The entry fee is $5, or free if wearing a Beary Merry Market t-shirt.
The Market will feature pictures with Santa, a variety of shopping vendors, foods, sweets, free games, a silent auction, and entertainment.
A featured activity during the Market will be Storytime with Mrs Claus. Mrs. Claus will read a story and share cookies and milk with children and send them home with an autographed book. Your kids will not want to miss a special time in her cozy living room and her extra special story. Tickets are $10 per child, adults are free but limited to 2 per child. This event has limited seating and will sell out, tickets are available at the LCM administration building and at MVE.
The outside activities include:
- What A Burger Activity Trailer with lots of activities and games for kids.
- Orange City Police Department: Officer and Patrol Car for children to see the features of a patrol car and meet a policeman.
- Acadian Ambulance and paramedics. Children can see what all is inside an ambulance and meet paramedics.
- Shangri La Presentation
- Little Cypress Volunteer Fire Department: Firemen and Firetruck. Children will be able to learn about fire trucks and equipment.
- Mauriceville Volunteer Fire Department and Firemen: Children will get to learn about how firetrucks work and meet firemen.
- Waste Management: Touch A Truck Program.
- Members of Waste Management will show how their trucks work and provide some goodies to those attending.
Inside activities include:
- A huge shopping area with over 60 vendors.
- Silent Auction area featuring a great selection of themed baskets, gift certificates, jewelry, Christmas decor, and specialty items.
- Coffee baristas from the LCM Administration Office
- Foods sold by many high school organizations such as pizza, pulled pork, LCM Battlin’ Bears Booster Club GUMBO, funnel cakes, etc.
- Popcorn
- Our famous Sweet Shop featuring homemade cookies, pies, cakes, bread, candy, and much more !
- Pictures with Santa
- Split Pot
- Presentation by the Texas Master Naturalists. Come see a real bear skull and learn how bears have a unique bone structure.
- Entertainment in the cafeteria area throughout the day. Full schedule in the image below.
All of these very special people are donating their day to let everyone see how they work. Please bring your children to these great presentations. Bring your camera to capture pictures of a very special event.
Proceeds will go to the LCM Education Foundation to fund grants to district teachers for educational materials and curriculum to support LCM students.
