Lamar State College Orange has formed a transfer agreement with Texas Southern University. Both schools will celebrate the agreement during a ceremony at the Shahan Events Center on Monday, November 11.
Transfer agreements between two-year and four-year colleges often are called “two for two” programs, since students starting a program at a community college can plan for their next two years at a university before transferring. According to its latest enrollment numbers, 81% of LSCO students are first-generation and 76% are enrolled part-time, meaning they are enrolled in less than 12 credit hours of classes per semester.
The agreement with TSU is the school’s fourth partnership with a four-year university since the beginning of the year.
