After drawing nearly 7,000 attendees in its debut year, the Hot Air Balloon Glo Festival will return for its second annual celebration on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from noon to 11 p.m. at the Bridge City Intermediate/Elementary School grounds at 1035 West Roundbunch Road.
Hosted by the Bridge City Chamber of Commerce and presented by title sponsor Golden Triangle Polymers, the event promises an even bigger and brighter experience for visitors of all ages.
Festival Highlights:
- Hot Air Balloon Glow: As the sun sets, tethered hot air balloons will illuminate the night sky, creating a breathtaking view.
- Tethered Balloon Rides: Available for $25, giving attendees a chance to rise above the crowd for an unforgettable perspective.
- Entertainment & Activities: Live music from local bands, a kids zone with bounce houses and a petting zoo, plus an array of food trucks and arts & crafts vendors.
- Affordable Fun: Tickets are $10, with free admission for children six and under.
The inspiration for the event came when Bridge City Director Mandy Lyda attended a similar festival in another city and envisioned bringing the magic home. “We had almost 7,000 visitors last year,” Lyda said. “We were blown away by the turnout and so thankful to give our community an event everyone could enjoy. It’s good, clean fun for the whole family.”
This year’s earlier start time at noon will allow guests to explore vendors, enjoy the bounce houses, and make the most of the day before the spectacular nighttime balloon glow.
