Calling all garden lovers, green thumbs, and community-minded individuals! The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension – Orange County, in partnership with the Texas Master Gardeners, is now accepting applications for its upcoming Master Gardener Training Classes, scheduled to begin in August 2025 and continue through December.
Held every Thursday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Orange County Expo Center (11475 FM 1442), this engaging and educational program offers participants the opportunity to deepen their gardening expertise and become a Certified Texas Master Gardener.
To earn certification, participants must complete 50 hours of classroom instruction and 50 hours of volunteer service. Classes will feature expert guest speakers and dynamic lessons covering a wide range of horticultural topics. In addition to classroom sessions, several field trips are planned to provide hands-on learning experiences.
Volunteer hours can be fulfilled through various activities, including working in the Master Gardener greenhouse, assisting with the annual plant sale, and supporting other AgriLife Extension programs throughout the year.
💵 Program Fee: $150 – includes the official Master Gardener handbook, first-year membership dues, supplies, access to top-tier guest speakers, and a celebratory banquet to honor your achievement.
