Greater Orange Area Literary Services (GOALS) will sponsor its Adult Spelling Bee on Friday, April 26, 2024, at Lamar State College Student Gym, 403 Green Ave in Orange from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
GOALS is looking for participants. A spelling team consists of three people. The entry fee is a $350 donation, and lunch is included. Anyone can participate and join the fun. If you are not able to put a team together but still would like to support us, any donation would be greatly appreciated.
GOALS was established 31 years ago to address the literacy needs in our area. They offer one-on-one tutoring in reading, GED preparation, and (ESL) English as a second language. Money raised will fund student materials, GED test scholarships, and operational expenses.
