in Events

Friends of the Orange Depot, along with the Orange Community Players, are hosting a book signing by former Orange resident, Carrie Joiner Woliver, on Sunday, March 20, 2022, from 2-4 PM at the Orange Train Depot Museum. Refreshments will be provided.  The $10 entry fee includes a signed copy of the book, and all proceeds benefit the Orange Train Depot Museum.

In the book, Viva La Brussels: Living the European Way, the author, chronicles the exciting opportunity she and her husband, Ron, were given when asked to relocate to Brussels, Belgium, so Ron could help open an overseas office for the company. As they moved in and adjusted to the Belgian ways, they began to experience life-changing adventures. Carrie shares many entertaining stories, from the day they moved into a Brussels suburb, rode the trams, learned to speak French, ate amazing meals in the restaurants, explored open-air markets, participated in local theatre groups, traveled to many European towns, and cultivated friendships with fellow Americans as well as many Europeans.

Woliver was born and raised n Orange and is a 1959 graduate of Stark High School.
