The City of Orange congratulates former West Orange-Stark baseball sensation Grant Anderson after getting called up to the major leagues with the Texas Rangers!
In his debut game on Tuesday, May 31, 2023, Anderson stepped on the mound in the 5th inning and struck out the first four consecutive batters he faced, making him only the 6th pitcher in MLB history to accomplish such a feat. He went on to strike out three more, leading the Rangers to a 10-6 victory over Detroit. With such an impressive first appearance, Anderson was named Player of the Game.
