UPDATE: Due to predicted inclement weather, the event has been postponed to May 14.
Explore Orange is thrilled to launch its newest community event series, Picnic at the Pavilion, to celebrate National Picnic Day! Beginning Wednesday, May 7, 2025, locals and visitors alike are invited to enjoy lunch along the scenic Sabine River during this weekly event held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Riverfront Boardwalk & Pavilion in downtown Orange.
Every Wednesday, guests can look forward to a rotating lineup of food trucks offering a variety of delicious eats—perfect for those looking to try something new each week. Attendees are encouraged to bring a picnic blanket or comfortable chair to relax and enjoy their meal in the open air with river views.
This family-friendly event is free to attend and is designed to promote local vendors while giving the community a refreshing midweek break in a beautiful waterfront setting.
Food truck vendors interested in participating can submit their details via this interest form: https://forms.office.com/r/h8xCL3kax0. After submission, a representative from the Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) will follow up with more information.
Mark your calendars—Picnic at the Pavilion kicks off May 7 and continues every Wednesday through the summer!
