Downtown Christmas Planned for December 2

To embrace the holiday spirit, an entire day dedicated to Christmas-themed events has been planned for December 2, 2023, in Orange.

Coordinated by the Explore Orange Team, the “Downtown Christmas” fun event will be presented with the help of the Stark Foundation, Kiwanis Club, Heritage House, and Lamar State College Orange to bring the holiday spirit to the community.

Please note, dogs and coolers will not be allowed at the Gumdrop Shop.

Visitors can spend the day strolling throughout Stark Park and find unique items provided by a multitude of artists and crafters from southeast Texas, southwest Louisiana, and surrounding areas.

Food and drink vendors will be available on-site.

Registration for the Gumdrop Shop will be first come, first serve by turning in an application and registration fee to the Convention & Visitors Bureau office.

7:30 a.m.-10 a.m. Breakfast with Santa Clause at Spanky’s Bar & Grill, 1703 N 16th St.

9 a.m.-3 p.m. Gumdrop Shop, Stark Park , 7th St.

9 a.m.-5 p.m. Stark Museum of Art, 712 Green Ave.

3 p.m.-5 p.m. Stark Museum of Art’s Children’s Holiday Craft Handout, 712 Green Ave.

12 p.m.-5 p.m. Stark Family Christmas Tours, 712 Green Ave.

1 p.m.-3 p.m. Buddy the Elf movie, Heritage House Museum, 905 W Division St.

6 p.m.- Kiwanis 74th Annual “Toys That Made US” Christmas Parade. Front St.

After Parade: Mickey’s Christmas Carol movie, Tree Lighting, Pictures with Santa, Stark Park, 7th St.
