Cypress Physical Therapy hosted its Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting on October 21, 2022. Cypress Physical Therapy is owned by Phillip Richard, Christopher Cancienne, Dustin Roussel, and Buddy Boe and is located at 3713 N. 16th Street in Orange.
This will make the fourth location for the growing physical therapy provider with future plans for expansion across the Gulf Coast. This location features the same modern, state-of-the-art look and feel Cypress patients have come to expect with large open gym space, private treatment rooms, and an open reception style creating a welcoming environment as soon as a patient walks through the doors.
Partner Phillip Richard attended Lamar University in Beaumont Texas, graduated in 2012, and studied Exercise Science and Fitness Management. He attended the University of St. Augustine for Health and Sciences in Austin for Doctorate in Physical Therapy and graduated in 2015. After graduation, he started working at Baptist Hospital of Southeast Texas in Beaumont and has been there for over 7 years and has experience in acute, inpatient rehab, and outpatient settings with a focus on outpatient. He has treated patients of all ages with varying orthopedic conditions such as post-op, acute injuries, and chronic injuries, including some high school athletes.
Phillip is from Orange, Texas currently living in Orangefield with his wife Jenny, and their three children Adyson, Easton, and Tatum. He graduated from Little Cypress Mauriceville High School in 2008 where he played baseball and football, and ran track.
“As we’ve grown, we have always focused on finding that right local partner to deliver the Cypress level of service to our patients,” said Cypress founder Christopher Cancienne.
Cypress Physical Therapy opened its first location in LaPlace, LA in 2016 and soon partnered with Dustin Roussel to open a clinic in Gramercy, LA less than one year later. Immediately before the pandemic, Cypress partnered with Jonathan Pecoraro to open a location in Hammond, LA, and worked through the pandemic to open in February 2021, holding construction design and update meetings by Zoom.
