Precinct 2 County Commissioner Chris Sowell has announced that the new equipment at Claiborne West Park is open and ready to be used. Sowell notes, “I’d like to thank everyone who made this happen for our communities’ children, from the Commissioners Court to the Orange County Parks Department, along with many other county employees.
This upgrade was a result of an allocation of a portion of the fees paid by the new Golden Triangle Polymers Company paid to Orange County.
Claiborne West Park is located at 4105 North Street in Vidor (off of Interstate 10) and offers walking trails, fishing pond, disc golf course, playgrounds, picnic areas, and bird watching.
