The City of West Orange is excited to announce its annual Spring Cleanup event, providing residents with a convenient opportunity to dispose of unwanted items and debris. The cleanup will take place on Friday, April 11, and Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. both days.
Location: Behind the West Orange Fire Department, 2701 Austin Ave, West Orange
Cleanup Guidelines and Accepted Items
Residents are encouraged to bring the following acceptable items:

Appliances, furniture, metal, and green waste
Important:

Residents must unload and place debris into dumpsters provided on-site.

Proof of residency (Photo I.D. and proof of residence) is required for participation.

The City will not provide special pickups—items must be brought to the site.
Items NOT Accepted:

Hazardous materials (e.g., paint, chemicals)

Tires, batteries, Freon-containing appliances unless properly drained and tagged by certified technicians

Normal household waste
This event is designed to help keep West Orange clean and beautiful by providing a safe, organized disposal method for items that cannot be collected through regular trash service.
