The City of Orange CDBG program was presented a Certificate of Distinction from the National Community Development Association for the utilization of CARES Act funding.
The City of Orange CDBG program granted funds to the Orange Community Action Association for the installation of an air purification system for their building, shields for all transportation buses, and money to continue buying food for seniors. Funds were also granted to other local organizations such as Orange Christian Services, James Hope Center, Jackson Community Center, and Greater Orange Area Literacy Services.
These funds allowed these organizations to purchase PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and provide community assistance during the pandemic.
