Chik-fil-A to Open Drive-Thru Only on April 9

UPDATED: Chick-fil-A Orange Hits the Road to Serve Vidor and Bridge City

in Local Roundup

Chick-fil-A Orange is taking its beloved menu on the road, bringing fan-favorite items like chicken sandwiches, nuggets, waffle chips, mac & cheese, and freshly made lemonade to new locations across Southeast Texas. With a mission to expand outreach and serve more communities, Chick-fil-A Orange is launching “Chick-fil-A Orange on the Road.”

Under the leadership of CJ Miller, Director of Marketing and Catering, the initiative aims to make Chick-fil-A more accessible to customers in nearby cities. The idea first came to life when the team set up shop at Christmas in the Park in Bridge City, selling their popular menu items to enthusiastic guests.

Following the success of that event, Chick-fil-A Orange officially launched two regular mobile locations:

  • Bridge City: First and third Fridays of each month from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM at CVS Pharmacy (485 Texas 73 W, Bridge City, TX)
  • UPDATED: Vidor: First and third Fridays of each month from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the former Brookshire Brothers parking lot (1380 N Main St., Vidor, TX). Beginning January 31, 2025, they will begin serving Vidor every Friday.

“We’re really excited to serve the Vidor community,” said Miller. “We’ve already been involved with the Vidor Booster Club, which sells our Chick-fil-A sandwiches at football and baseball games. This is another great way to connect with the area.” Miller went on to note that the amazing response they had to their January 17 event, where they served over 200 cars in 2.5 hours, prompted them to make the Vidor event a weekly one.

These mobile stops are just the beginning. Chick-fil-A Orange is currently in the process of acquiring a serve-only trailer, which will allow the restaurant to expand even further. Once the trailer is ready this spring, the team plans to serve additional locations, including Buna and Jasper in Jasper County—areas that require mobile restaurants to operate from a trailer rather than a tent.

Beyond local cities, Chick-fil-A Orange is also working on securing approvals to serve major industrial plants like Dow, Chevron, and Honeywell, bringing its signature service and quality meals directly to plant workers.

“Our goal is to keep growing and reaching more customers in our designated territory,” Miller added. “This initiative allows us to better serve our community while exploring exciting new opportunities.”
