The City of Vidor is thrilled to invite residents and visitors to its exciting lineup of Hometown Holiday events, which will take place from Friday, December 6, to Sunday, December 8, 2024. With three days of family-friendly activities, festive music, and holiday cheer, there’s something for everyone to enjoy!
Friday, December 6, 2024: Vidor City Hall Hometown Holidays
Location: 1395 N. Main St., Vidor
Kick off the weekend at Vidor City Hall with festive activities for the whole family!
- 5:30 PM: Christmas reading by Mayor Misty Songe.
- 6:00 PM: VISD Choir and Drumline performances.
- 6:45 PM: Face painting, arts and crafts, and photos with Santa.
- 7:45 PM: Christmas tree lighting ceremony.
- 8:00 PM: Last chance for photos with Santa.
This free event sets the perfect tone for the holiday season with warm community spirit and joyful moments.
Saturday, December 7, 2024: Hometown Holidays Christmas Cruise and Car Show
Location: Woods Plaza (185 N Main St, Vidor)
Time: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Join us for the Christmas Cruise and Car Show, a day packed with entertainment, shopping, and festive fun:
- 11:00 AM: Car show registration begins.
- 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM: Vendor market open.
- 12:00 PM – 3:30 PM: Live performance by the Croosroads Band.
- 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Santa will be available for visits.
- 3:00 PM: Car judging begins, with winners announced at 3:30 PM.
- 4:00 PM: Car show cruise kicks off – start your engines!

Sunday, December 8, 2024: Light Up Vidor

- 1:00 PM: Vendor market opens.
- 5:00 PM: Giveaway begins alongside Eastgate Choir performances.
- 5:30 PM: Live music by Clay Walker and his band.
- 6:45 PM: Tree lighting and a spectacular fireworks show.
