Kristen Ross Announced as New Executive Director of Meals on Wheels in Orange
The Orange Community Action Association (OCAA) Meals on Wheels is pleased to introduce Kristen Ross as the new Executive Director. Kristen was officially introduced at the City Council meeting on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, and brings a wealth of experience and a deep connection to the Orange community to her new role.
A native of Orange, Kristen graduated from West Orange-Stark High School. She holds a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration from Texas Southern University and a master’s degree in business administration from Texas Woman’s University. She is also an active Mt. Sinai Baptist Church member, reflecting her commitment to community engagement.
During her introduction, Kristen shared her passion for Meals on Wheels, noting that the program is about much more than delivering meals. “Meals on Wheels has been a cornerstone of our community for years, delivering more than just meals,” said Kristen. “We are grateful for the community’s ongoing support and the Board of Directors’ unwavering dedication to providing nutritious meals and transportation services to our seniors. We plan to embody our mission beyond delivering food; it’s about delivering hope, kindness, and a sense of community.”
Kristen’s leadership promises to strengthen the OCAA Meals on Wheels program further, which is vital in supporting seniors across Orange, Texas. The organization remains committed to providing meals, transportation services, companionship, and a sense of connection for local seniors.
