West Orange City Councilors Introduced

The City of West Orange is proud to introduce the new and returning members of the West Orange City Council.

They include Mike Shugart, Lanie Brown, Randy Branch ( Mayor), Meritta Kennedy ( Mayor-Pro-Tem), Jay Odom, and Brent Dearing.

Unless special circumstances warrant a change, the West Orange City Council meets on the 2nd Monday of each month at 5:00 pm in the Council Chambers inside City Hall (Austin Street entrance).

West Orange Adopt-A-Street Program Applications Available

in Government

The West Orange Adopt-A-Street program offers individuals, local businesses, and organizations an opportunity to beautify West Orange by picking up litter along the streets. Removing litter improves the safety and the appearance of the community and also prevents pollution from entering drainage systems and waterways.

The City of West Orange is currently looking for an adoptee for Austin to Dayton. The former adoptee recently moved back to her hometown.

City of Vidor Pool Offers Independence Day Special and Extends Hours

in Government

The City of Vidor Pool, located at 19161 I-10 in Vidor, is offering a special $4 admission to price to everyone, regardless of city of residence. Regular prices are $5 per person if your address is inside the city limits and $7.50 per person if your address is outside the city limits.

Water aerobics will also be offered that day from 6-7 PM for $3.

During the month of August, the city pool opening hours will be extended every weekend from noon-7 PM, weather permitting.
