Tia Jaunita's Fish Camp to Open in Orange

Popular local restaurant chain Tia Juanita’s Fish Camp will be opening soon in Orange. They will be located at the Sunset Grove Country Club, 2900 W Sunset Dr. in Orange. Tia Juanita’s serves unique Mexi-Cajun food and offers great music and service with a cool and funky vibe. The menu features grilled boudin quesadillas, gumbo, fish and blackened gator tacos, shrimp and grits, BBQ shrimp, and its specialty, char-broiled oysters.

Other locations include the original Tia Juanita’s in Beaumont, as well as Port Arthur, Lumberton, Winnie, Lake Charles, and Lufkin,

Conrad Shipyard has announced that it has received ISO 9001:2015 recertification for its Quality Management program from the ANAB internationally accredited registrar, ABS Quality Evaluations. Conrad’s successful implementation of its Quality Management System to ISO 9001:2015 standards reflects the company’s commitment to its customers, planning, and implementation, resource management, efficient process control, measurement and analysis, and continual improvement.

Conrad Shipyard specializes in the construction, conversion, and repair of a wide variety of steel and aluminum marine vessels for commercial and governmental customers. Their product catalog is made up of a variety of marine vessels, including large and small deck barges, double-hull tank barges, split hopper barges, dump scows, lift boats, push boats, towboats, crane barges, offshore tug boats, fireboats, patrol boats, crewboats, offshore supply vessels (OSVs), dredges and ferries. Their repair facilities have drydocks ranging from 900T to 12,500T. Since 1948 they have delivered some of the finest quality marine vessels in the industry. They are headquartered in Morgan City, LA, with a facility in Orange.

Tacos "La Shula" Moving to Former Pizza Hut Location

Tacos “La Shula” has found a new home at the former Pizza Hut location at 1720 Lutcher Dr. in Orange. Formerly located on West Park Ave., the restaurant closed as a result of roof damages incurred in Hurricane Laura.

Renovation updates and construction are being completed on the building currently. A reopening date has not yet been announced.

Kelli Lewis has been selected by the Bridge City Chamber of Commerce as its Director. She is married to Josh Lewis and they have 4 children, Jeffery Carter 15, Landen Wiley 13, Garrick Lewis 11, and Macy McCauley 8.

Kelli is available Monday-Thursday from 8 am to 3 pm and Fridays from 8 am to 12 pm. She is eager to restart the Chamber’s monthly coffees as soon COVID regulations permit them to do so.

Their former showroom on MacArthur Drive was damaged by Hurricane Laura.
