8 New Volunteers Sworn in as Advocate for Kids in Foster Care

CASA Seeking Donations for One to One Hundred Campaign

in Local Roundup

CASA of the Sabine Neches Region’s One to One Hundred Campaign is seeking 100 individual donations representing each county served: Hardin, Jasper, Newton, Sabine, Tyler, and Orange. Donation amounts range from $1 to $100. Please help to fill up our boards and provide hope to area children in the foster care system.

Last year, 699 children from these six counties were in state care. These children were removed from their homes due to abuse and neglect. CASA of the Sabine Neches Region recruits volunteers from throughout the area to advocate for these children in court.

A CASA volunteer is a caring, consistent adult who will be there for a child experiencing loneliness and uncertainty. Children with a dedicated volunteer by their side have someone who will speak up for their needs and best interests, in the courtroom and the community.

Children and youth with a CASA volunteer also have significantly higher levels of hope. When a child has more hope, they are also more likely to succeed in school, have greater self-control, increased optimism and a higher overall sense of wellbeing.

You can give a child hope by donating today. Your gift will help us engage more volunteers so we can reach more children in need.

Please choose a county or counties and a value between $1 and $100 and make a gift today. Consider uploading a picture with your donation(s) to fill up our boards with the faces of our supporters! Get on the grid here with your donation.
