The Bridge City Public Library is thrilled to announce two exciting opportunities for readers of all ages this summer: the 2025 Summer Reading Program for children and a new Evening Book Club for adults!
Summer Reading Program (Kindergarten – 5th Grade)
Sign-ups for the Summer Reading Program will be open from April 28 – May 9. Kindergarten through 5th-grade students are invited to join the fun with special activities held every Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Events include:

June 4 – Guided Painting

June 11 – Museum Without Walls

June 18 – Chosen Weeds Farm

June 25 – Picnic in the Park and the library’s first-ever Scholastic Book Fair
Participants can also track their reading progress with program logs from June 4 – July 16. It’s a wonderful way to spark imagination, creativity, and a lifelong love of reading — all while having fun this summer!
Evening Book Club (Adults)
Adults are invited to join the new Evening Book Club, meeting on the first Thursday of every month at the library. The first meeting is set for May 1, 2025, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.. This relaxed, social gathering is a great opportunity to share thoughts on selected books and connect with fellow book lovers.
